During the two-day seminar, the ambassadors met representatives of
the state authorities and bodies of state administration whose work
is relevant for Croatia's integration in the EU.
The talks focused on Croatia's activities in drawing closer to the
EU, cooperation with the EU member-states, and the implementation
of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement.
"The EU is a whole which has its own rules determined by the member-
states, however, it is still made up of 15 states," Picula told
reporters, stressing the importance of bilateral relations with
individual EU members.
"There can be no good foreign policy without coordination and
communication... this programme provides for meetings between
different factors defining the foreign policy in line with the
Constitution so that we could strengthen coordination in the
country and among our ambassadors abroad," Picula said.
The ambassadors today met with President Stjepan Mesic and
Parliament President Zlatko Tomcic. A day earlier they met with
First Deputy Prime Minister Drazen Budisa.
