"As early as May the dinar will appear on exchange rates in Hungary,
Greece, Austria, Germany, Italy, Croatia, Slovenia, even in
London," Dinkic told the Politika daily.
He announced a fast privatisation of banks in Serbia, based on
recently adopted laws. The state has to start selling shares,
exclusively to private stockholders, within six months, he said.
Bank employees will be entitled to pre-emptive buying, which will
make it possible to wrap up the privatisation of all important state
banks in Serbia by the end of 2003, said Dinkic.
