ZAGREB, April 10 (Hina)- MPs in the Croatian parliament on Wednesday continued their 21st session and discussed a proposal by the parliamentary Credentials and Privileges Commission to rescind parliamentary immunity for two MPs of the
Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ), Djuro Decak and Ljubo Cesic-Rojs. The parliament also discussed several inter-state agreements and several bills which will go to the vote on Thursday.
ZAGREB, April 10 (Hina)- MPs in the Croatian parliament on
Wednesday continued their 21st session and discussed a proposal by
the parliamentary Credentials and Privileges Commission to rescind
parliamentary immunity for two MPs of the Croatian Democratic Union
(HDZ), Djuro Decak and Ljubo Cesic-Rojs. The parliament also
discussed several inter-state agreements and several bills which
will go to the vote on Thursday. #L#
The Credentials and Privileges Commission proposed that the
parliament vote to rescind parliamentary immunity for Djuro Decak
(HDZ) because of founded suspicion that he had committed a criminal
offence against the security of payment traffic and misuse of his
authority in business, for which he has bee accused by the Bjelovar
State Prosecutor's Office, the Commission's chairwoman, Milanka
Opacic, reported on Wednesday.
Opacic further said that the Commission proposed that
parliamentary immunity also be rescinded for MP Ljubo Cesic-Rojs
(HDZ) because of founded suspicion that he had committed a criminal
offence against the security of payment traffic and misuse of
authority in business dealings and misuse of his position and
authority, as charged by the Zagreb State Prosecutor's Office.
