ZAGREB, April 5 (Hina) - In its April report the international credit rating company Dun&Bradstreet has marked Croatia's credit rating with DB4d, the same rating as in the previous month. This mark places Croatia among countries of
moderate investment risk, however, for the second month in a row the country's rating is analysed in the context of the political situation and relations in the ruling coalition.
ZAGREB, April 5 (Hina) - In its April report the international
credit rating company Dun&Bradstreet has marked Croatia's credit
rating with DB4d, the same rating as in the previous month.
This mark places Croatia among countries of moderate investment
risk, however, for the second month in a row the country's rating is
analysed in the context of the political situation and relations in
the ruling coalition. #L#
According to the report, the manner in which a political crisis was
resolved confirms that the reason for problems in the coalition was
exclusively the distribution of power and not differences in
political stands.
D&B analysts believe that due to lack of a real alternative, the
coalition will have to keep together until the end of the mandate,
but note that it is unrealistic to expect that the fight for power
has ended. It will not help attract good investors who are expected
to meet privatisation expectations or continue the reforms. A
reminder of this is the February record unemployment rate of 24
percent, the report notes.
