ZAGREB, March 14 (Hina) - The Croatian Journalists' Association (HND) will establish an initiative group for the preparation of a bill on the free use of intelligence services' archives. This was decided at Thursday's round table
called "Journalists in Secret Services' Files", which gathered journalists, representatives of non-governmental organisations, state bodies and lawyers. Apart from the bill which should regulate the handling of secret services' archives, also pointed out was a need for establishing an independent institution, similar to Guack Institut in Germany. Journalists are dissatisfied with the way the issue of handling secret services' archives from the times of the Croatian Democratic Union rule has been solved.(hina) it sb
