KARLOVAC, March 12 (Hina) - The prosecution continued with the presentation of evidence against Fikret Abdic at the Karlovac County Court on Tuesday. Abdic is charged with planning and organising concentration camps and refugee
centres near Bihac from 1993 to 1995, after he proclaimed the "Autonomous Region of Western Bosnia." Witness Ibrahim Galijasevic testified about the hardships he suffered in one of the concentration camps. He told the court that he was pressured by Abdic's supporters not to testify in the trial. His testimony is important to prove allegations of war crimes against civilians and POWs in the "Autonomous Region of Western Bosnia" and, more importantly, charges concerning the inhumane treatment and starvation of prisoners.
