SINJ: DISPUTES ABOUT SINJSKA ALKA SINJ, Feb 27 (Hina) - Coordinating body of Homeland War associations which are active in the Sinj area on Wednesday issued a statement harshly attacking the recently established Association of
veterans and admirers of the Sinjska Alka, accusing it of obstructing the Sinjska Alka and its tradition. The association of veterans and admirers of the Sinjska Alka was founded on February 24, due to, as said at the founding assembly, growing politicisation of the Sinjska Alka which reached its peak at the end of last year's ceremonies, when the winner was forbidden from receiving a gift by a delegate of President Stjepan Mesic. The coordinating body, apart from attacking founders of the Association, also attacked President Mesic.
