SARAJEVO, Feb 26 (Hina) - The chairman of the Bosnian Presidency, Zlatko Lagumdzija, said on Tuesday that with the existing justice system it was impossible to uproot crime and corruption in his country. After a meeting with the
coordinator for the American government's assistance to Europe and Asia, William Taylor, Lagumdzija said there were no expected economic reforms because the rule of law had not been established. "The justice system is unacceptably enormous and inefficient, the appointed judges and prosecutors are not doing their jobs, Lagumdzija said. He believes that the Council of Ministers, entity governments and parliaments had very limited influence, mostly because the executive authority should not get involved in the justice system. The Office of the High Representative should take on this task, Lagumdzija said.(hina) lml sb
