SARAJEVO, Feb 21 (Hina) - The defence minister of the Bosnian
federation, Mijo Anic, on Thursday said he was dissatisfied with
the current organisation of the defence and military structures in
Bosnia and Herzegovina, directly accusing his colleague from the
Bosnian Serb entity for the current state of affairs.
"The main problem is the defence minister of Republika Srpska
(Slobodan Bilic). He is refusing any kind of talks on the
possibility of integration," Anic told reporters in Sarajevo.
He maintains the establishment of a joint Bosnian army at this
moment is truly unrealistic, considering the still rather fresh
memories of the 1990s war.
Anic says, however, that there is no reason not to establish a
uniform ministry of defence and a joint command of the two entities'
armies on the state level.
The current strictly separated military and defence organisation
of the entities is unnecessary and absurd, Anic said.
