BELGRADE BELGRADE, Feb 19 (Hina) - The commission for the implementation of the Agreement on Subregional Arms Control convened in Belgrade on Tuesday to discuss the implementation of the Agreement, including a plan of joint military
inspections for 2002. The Agreement was signed on Florence in 1996, in line with provisions of the Dayton Agreement, and the signatories are Croatia, Yugoslavia and Bosnia-Herzegovina. The Agreement establishes the allowed amount of five categories of weapons -- tanks, armoured vehicles, cannons larger than 75 millimetres, military aircraft and helicopters. The aim of the Agreement is greater security and consolidation of confidence in the region. This is the commission's first meeting in a signatory country.
