ZAGREB, Feb 13 (Hina) - Croatian Foreign Minister Tonino Picula on Wednesday met representatives of the Croat community in Vojvodina for the second time in two months, the Foreign Ministry reported. Picula called for an even better
cooperation and agreement about what was important now, before the passing of the Law on the protection of the rights and freedoms of national minorities in Yugoslavia. Vojvodina Croats positively assessed the draft agreement on the protection of minorities between Croatia and Yugoslavia, which should for the first time recognise Croats as a national minority in Yugoslavia. The start of the project "Be Yourself" which should make Croats more sensitive and courageous before the census in April 2002 so they could state their nationality, and not identify themselves as sub-ethnic characteristics, the Ministry statement read.(hina) lml sb
