ZAGREB, Feb 9 (Hina) - First talks between representatives of the Croatian authorities and members of the International Monetary Fund Mission show that the mission is satisfied with data on the economic movements in last year. The
talks will also discuss the conditions of a new arrangement and the two sides have agreed not to focus on details so much, sources close to the government reported. The three-member IMF Mission began officials talks with the representatives of the Croatian government on Thursday, February 7, on the implementation of the stand-by arrangement. The arrangement was granted to Croatia in March 2001 and it expires in May 2002. During their stay in Croatia, namely until February 15, the IMF Mission will meet representatives of the Croatian Finance Ministry, the Croatian National Bank and a series of other institutions.
