BELGRADE, Feb 8 (hina) - Former head of the Yugoslav Army Main Staff Dragoljub Ojdanic is not hiding in "a Belgrade barracks", as it had been assumed, he lives in an apartment under the protection of the Yugoslav Army and is preparing
his defence, read an article published in Novi Sad's "Gradjanski list" daily and cited by Belgrade's new agency Beta. The International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia indicted Ojdanic together with Slobodan Milosevic, Milan Milutinovic, Nikola Sainovic and Vlajko Stoiljkovic for war crimes committed in Kosovo in 1999. "Ojdanic lives in an apartment owned and protected by the Yugoslav army," a well informed source close to Ojdanic told the daily. The same source claims general Ojdanic "is preparing his defence which is based on the fact that he was not in Kosovo as well as on challenging the command responsibility".(hina) it
