ZAGREB, Feb 4 (Hina) - The statement of the president of the Serb People's Council, Milorad Pupovac, that "(Mato) Arlovic (of the Social Democratic Party) is cementing ethnic cleansing of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ)" is on the
track of ill will attempts to revise the past and forge the truth about the Homeland War and the Greater Serb policy which caused it, the HDZ said in a statement Monday. The HDZ is firmly refuting Pupovac's statement (a comment on a bill on national minorities) as "unfounded and tendentious". Such statements do not contribute to the normalisation, but further radicalisation of the political scene in Croatia, the statement read. The HDZ says "everyone in Croatia" should develop the culture of dialogue and mutual tolerance, exclude the words of hatred, and avoid untrue statements.(hina) np
