BELGRADE, Jan 29 (Hina/Beta) - The minimum salary in Serbia in the next six months will be 3,250 dinars (3,000 dinars = EUR50), representatives of the Serbian government, three trade union federations and the Serbian Employers' Union
agreed at a meeting on Tuesday. "That will be the amount which workers will take home, when all taxes and contributions have been deducted, and that is the limit under which no one in Serbia will be allowed to pay salaries," Serbian Labour Minister Dragan Milovanovic said after the signing of an agreement on the minimum salary. Labour inspections will control the implementation of the agreement, he said, adding strict penalties were envisaged for those breaching it. The minimum salary in Serbia before the signing of the latest agreement was around 2,600 dinars.(hina) rml
