ZAGREB, Jan 28 (Hina) - The new head of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Mission to Croatia, Swede Peter Semneby, has taken up his office, the OSCE Mission in Zagreb said in a statement on Monday.
Ambassador Semneby is a professional diplomat who was the head of the OSCE Mission to Latvia prior to his latest appointment. During his diplomatic career, Semneby served in Russia, Bonn and Kiev and was member of one of the first OSCE missions, in Georgia. Semneby, who replaces France's Bernard Poncet, has announced meetings with Croatian President Stjepan Mesic and Foreign Minister Tonino Picula.
