LAGUMDZIJA: CROATIA, BIH WILL FIND SOLUTION FOR PLOCE PORT
SARAJEVO, Jan 16 (Hina) - Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina will find
a satisfactory solution for the status of the port of Ploce because
this is in both countries' interest, the chairman of the Bosnian
Council of Minister Zlatko Lagumdzija said in Sarajevo on Tuesday.
After returning from Zagreb, where he briefly stopped after his
visit to London and met Croatian Foreign Minister Tonino Picula,
Lagumdzija said the two governments entirely agree that the crucial
problem is the current standstill status of the Ploce port, which is
to the detriment of everybody.
"We will find a solution which will be in line with international
standards on the patching up of differences," Lagumdzija said and
added he believed this would take place in the near future.
In his opinion, the status of the Ploce port must not bring the two
countries' good relations into question.
"The ratification of the agreement is not an issue and experts need
to decided how open issues are to be solved," the Bosnian officials
said.
Lagumdzija said he and Picula agreed that the upcoming
constitutional changes in Bosnia must ensure the equality of the
Croat people in Bosnia.
