LJUBLJANA, Jan 16 (Hina) - Slovenia sincerely wants good relations with Croatia, and the current standstill regarding the border agreement should not weaken the two countries' relations and Slovenia's assistance to Croatia in its
attempt to join Euro-Atlantic associations, President Milan Kucan told Slovene television on Tuesday evening. Kucan stressed, however, that his recent official visit to Zagreb showed there was a great amount of mistrust in Croatia's policy towards Slovenia. Slovenia's head of state said he agreed with Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek who claims Croatia's failure to approve the initialled border deal will bring the land border into question again. Kucan said he was against international arbitration on Croatian-Slovene border issues, and added one had to wait until Croatia adopted the agreement.(hina) it
