STRUGAR, Jan 9 (Hina) - Croatian Education and Sports Minister Vladimir Strugar on Wednesday presented a "National Framework Programme of Changes to the Education System in Croatia". According to the programme, as of the school year
2004/2005, primary education would last nine years instead of the current eight. Another year would be added later on. Strugar told reporters that the entire programme would be presented to the public after January 20. He said the Ministry would accept the initiative of the Council of Europe for an international education conference, focusing on the said programme of changes to Croatia's education system.(hina) lml sb
