Asked by reporters before a party meeting if there would be any
changes in the leadership of the Zadar branch in view of a
comparatively poor showing in the November 23 parliamentary
election, Racan said he did not know.
"Now it is important for the SDP to consolidate itself wherever it
is weak. That will be our main job until the party's next
convention," he added.
Asked to comment on Hungary's decision to suspend privileges for
Croatian exports, Racan said that a solution should be found that
would be in mutual interest.
"An economic or trade war would not be good for either side, and in
search of solutions, we should protect our interests to the
maximum," Racan said.
