ZAGREB, Dec 11 (Hina) - The Croatian government decided at a closed session on Thursday to grant some 6.5 million kuna (approx. EUR844,155) of budgetary funds to the Serb Orthodox Church and the Islamic community.

So far, the two communities have been granted some 9.7 million of 20
million kuna intended for them in 2003.
With the funds granted today, this makes some 16 million kuna.
The government entrusted the Finance Ministry with redirecting the
remaining amount of some 3.9 million kuna into current budgetary
reserves for 2003.
Of that amount, 516,000 kuna will be provided to finance the work of
councils and representatives of national minorities in the first
quarter of 2004, reads a statement issued after the government's
session.
