The second meeting of the Subcommittee on the Internal Market,
which took place on Wednesday, focused on priority areas from the
SAA, including financial and postal services and the protection of
intellectual property and consumers, Assistant Minister for
European Integration Tamara Obradovic told Croatian reporters in
Brussels on Thursday.
The 24-member Croatian team informed the European Commission
officials of steps that were being taken in implementing the SAA.
Obradovic said that 76 laws had been adapted to European standards
this year and that they would be implemented next year.
Further work on adapting legislation will be significantly easier
because as of this week Croatia is allowed to use the TAIEX
(Technical Assistance Information Exchange), a European
legislation database that can be used only by EU members and
candidate countries.
