The bodies of six Croatian soldiers had been recovered from the mass
grave in the town cemetery, and six more had been found nearby
buried in individual graves.
Speaking at the unveiling ceremony, Colonel Ivan Grujic, head of
the government office for prisoners of war and missing persons,
said that Croatia was still trying to trace 1,235 persons.
The monument was financed by the Ministry of War Veterans Affairs.
