CAVTAT CAVTAT, Dec 5 (Hina) - The first regional economic forum of Southeast Europe which started on Thursday resumed on Friday with presentation of reports on competitiveness of countries of the region. The forum should end with the
adoption of conclusions for the framework topic of the 2004 economic forum.
CAVTAT, Dec 5 (Hina) - The first regional economic forum of
Southeast Europe which started on Thursday resumed on Friday with
presentation of reports on competitiveness of countries of the
region. The forum should end with the adoption of conclusions for
the framework topic of the 2004 economic forum. #L#
On the last day of the gathering, the participants are expected to
discuss initiatives for the promotion of cooperation of eight
countries of the region. One of the initiatives is that the forum
become a regular annual gathering of state officials, businessmen
and scientists from Croatia, Serbia-Montenegro, Bosnia-
Herzegovina, Macedonia, Romania, Bulgaria and Albania.
Croatian President Stjepan Mesic, Serbia-Montenegro President
Svetozar Marovic, Macedonian President Boris Trajkovski and the
chairman of the Bosnian Council of Minister Adnan Terzic spoke at
the opening of the forum.
The officials agreed that regional cooperation is a priority for
all Southeast European countries if they wish to become desirable
partners to the European Union.
