ZAGREB, Nov 18 (Hina) - The League of Students of Croatia (SSH) appealed to students on Tuesday not to stage a protest rally on Saturday, the day of the electoral media blackout, describing the protest call as "an unacceptable attempt
at political exploitation of students." The SSH called on students to go to the polls on Sunday and vote for the political option that would enable them "a better life and more pleasant studying conditions". The protest rally was announced by the striking committee of students of the former Split Polytechnic, and the Zagreb Students Corps said it would join in the protest unless the government started reimbursing students for the difference in scholarship fees by noon on Wednesday.(hina) vm
