PULA, Nov 12 (Hina) - A vice president of the Istrian Democratic Forum (IDF), Gianni Kumar, who is running in the November 23 parliamentary elections on the IDF slate in constituency no. 8, has said that wrongdoings in the
privatisation of land in Istria would have never been discovered if the IDF had not initiated a referendum on the issue in Istria.
PULA, Nov 12 (Hina) - A vice president of the Istrian Democratic
Forum (IDF), Gianni Kumar, who is running in the November 23
parliamentary elections on the IDF slate in constituency no. 8, has
said that wrongdoings in the privatisation of land in Istria would
have never been discovered if the IDF had not initiated a referendum
on the issue in Istria. #L#
Kumar believes that young people will vote for the IDF slate because
"their future also depends on putting an end to the sale of
Istria".
He said the party also advocated a referendum on the Druzba-Adria
project because "the citizens must be given an opportunity to
decide what's more important: several hundred jobs or the
protection of Kvarner and the Adriatic".
