"I am willing to apologise to the citizens of Bosnia-Herzegovina,
and if there is opportunity I shall do so. I would like it not to be a
personal apology," Marovic told Belgrade's Danas daily.
"Officials in Sarajevo or Zagreb should do the same," he said,
adding that "evil belongs to many sides (and) the peoples need to be
freed from the burden and responsibility for actions which
individuals should bear on their shoulders".
Marovic also commented on the issue of the extradition of Serbia-
Montenegro citizens accused by the Hague war crimes tribunal for
the former Yugoslavia.
"Not just anyone should be extradited and that's what I'm afraid of,
because this nation is very proud and takes many things hardly. But
statesmen have to assume part of the responsibility and say that
it's unfair, painful, unequal, but also that unfortunately, it's
something we are bound to by the law on cooperation with the Hague
tribunal that we adopted."
Added Marovic, "I don't wish any evil on either (Ratko) Mladic or
(Radovan) Karadzic or (Veselin) Siljivancanin, but more than that,
I don't wish evil on Serbia or Montenegro".
