Liberal Party (HSLS) formed a coalition with the Croatian
Democratic Union (HDZ) while they show intolerance towards one
another in parliament, said Zdravko Tomac in the northern Croatian
town of Varazdin on Tuesday, presenting his independent slate for
constituency no. 3. #L#
"Vesna Pusic (of the HNS) says the HDZ's coming back to power would
mean high treason, and at the same time she is joining a coalition
with the HDZ in Varazdin, which is an absurd," Tomac said.
He called on the citizens to go to the polls, but not to vote for the
HSLS, the HNS or the SDP because they failed them, or for the HDZ
because the party also failed to do what it had to.
Tomac believes independent slates are important for the
development of democracy in Croatia, because candidates from those
slates will not be under pressure from any party and will speak on
behalf of the people and not a party leader.
