Racan said on Tuesday he had undergone a medical examination and was
feeling well "to the disappointment of my political rivals." #L#
Racan was speaking at a presentation of his party's election
platform and lists of candidates for the forthcoming parliamentary
elections.
The SDP leader said he had visited hospitals in the last few days and
agreed with citizens that the standards of health services in
Croatia should be raised.
For this reason the SDP will not abandon a very ambitious plan to
finance the health infrastructure with seven billion kuna (approx.
930 million euros), although the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ)
wants to scrap the investment, Racan said.
Racan was admitted to a hospital for heart diseases in Krapinske
Toplice on Monday. The government public relations office said on
Tuesday that he had undergone a regular heart examination and that
the results were "brilliant".
