MINISTER: ICTY'S INVESTIGATIONS AGAINST BABIC AND HADZIC UNDER WAY

BELGRADE, Nov 2 (Hina) - Serbia-Montenegro's Foreign Minister Goran Svilanovic has been quoted by a local radio as saying that the Hague-based UN war crimes tribunal's Chief Prosecutor, Carla Del Ponte, told him six months ago that the tribunal's investigators were working on cases of a former chief-of-staff of the Yugoslav People's Army (JNA), Blagoje Adzic, and former leaders of Croatian Serb rebels, Milan Babic and Goran Hadzic.
BELGRADE, Nov 2 (Hina) - Serbia-Montenegro's Foreign Minister Goran Svilanovic has been quoted by a local radio as saying that the Hague-based UN war crimes tribunal's Chief Prosecutor, Carla Del Ponte, told him six months ago that the tribunal's investigators were working on cases of a former chief-of-staff of the Yugoslav People's Army (JNA), Blagoje Adzic, and former leaders of Croatian Serb rebels, Milan Babic and Goran Hadzic. #L# Svilanovic told the Radio B92 station on Sunday that in the meantime four indictments had been made public. He said this referring to the indictments against four police and army generals. "As far as I know, another three investigations against citizens of Serbia-Montenegro are under way," the minister said. He added that Belgrade was considering possibilities of trying the four generals in the country. The national council for cooperation with the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) will hold a session in coming days to discuss the issue. (hina) ms
