Under the bill, besides county courts in Zagreb, Osijek, Rijeka and
Split, other county courts will also be allowed to hold war crimes
trials, on condition that they are previously given approval from
the Croatian Supreme Court's president.
The final bill also envisages that all evidence, gathered by the
Hague-based UN war crimes tribunal for the former Yugoslavia
(ICTY), will be accepted in Croatia, too.
The government's interpellation referring to the conduct in the
case of the fugitive general Ante Gotovina, is also to be discussed
by MPs tomorrow.
