ZAGREB, Oct 3 (Hina) - Members of a federation of Japanese business associations held talks with representatives of Croatian companies in Zagreb on Friday. The talks, held at the Croatian Chamber of Economy, focused on advancing
current cooperation between Croatia and Japan.

Japanese businessmen expressed interest in cooperation in
telecommunications, the pharmaceutical and food-processing
industries, tourism and possible cooperation in infrastructure
projects.
Croatia-Japan trade in this year's first six months amounted to
US$161.6 million. Croatia's export to Japan totalled US$44.5
million while Japan's export to Croatia amounted to $116.9
million.
In this year's first eight months 9,299 tourists from Japan visited
Croatia and realised 18,571 overnights.
