events marking European Languages Day were presented with awards at
the Italian Cultural Institute in Zagreb on Wednesday. #L#
The cultural institutes and embassies of European Union countries,
the European Commission's Delegation and countries to join the EU
next year marked European Languages Day with a day-long
entertainment programme in Zagreb's Cvjetni Square on September
26.
The programme featured Italy, Great Britain, Greece, Austria,
Germany, Finland, Portugal, France, the Netherlands, Sweden,
Spain, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovenia and
Slovakia.
After the presentation of the countries, the visitors filled in
questionnaires with 32 questions concerning the presented
countries. Of more than 800 people who attended the event, three
girls from Zagreb won the awards.
