NOVI SAD, Sept 29 (Hina) - The Vojvodina parliament's president, Nenad Canak, on Monday condemned the desecration of a Catholic cemetery in Novi Sad, saying that the destruction of tombstones was an act of extreme nationalism.

Some 80 tombstones were overturned or damaged at the Catholic
cemetery in Novi Sad on the night between Saturday and Sunday,
investigating judge Branislava Perisic was quoted by Belgrade B92
radio as saying yesterday.
The cemetery was desecrated in a similar way last week when a dozen
tombstones were damaged.
