Skare-Ozbolt told a news conference more serious topics needed to
be discussed, such as the proclamation of an exclusive economic
zone in the Adriatic, relations with the UN war crimes tribunal at
The Hague, the adjustment of Croatia's legislation with European
standards. She added that it was a "real disgrace" what the work of
parliament had turned into.
"Should this continue, it would be best to adopt only European laws
and dissolve parliament as soon as possible," said Skare-Ozbolt.
She said her party called on the government to proclaim the EEZ as
soon as possible because this was the issue of Croatia's
sovereignty and national pride. She added that the current
development of events indicated that the government was lacking
competence and determination.
