The seminar, to last until August 30, was co-organised by the Konrad
Adenauer and Hans Seidel foundations.
The event is attended by about 40 officials of state ministries,
under-graduates, journalists, post-graduates and doctoral
candidates from Germany, Poland, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, Serbia
and Montenegro and Macedonia.
They will discuss security in Europe in the light of current
relations between the United States and Europe and relations
between South-East and West Europe. The central topics are the
possibility of building a more autonomous security system in
Europe, the basic characteristics of that system, and relations in
the existing security system, with NATO as the backbone.
The seminar will also include a panel discussion about Croatian-
Serbian relations, with Croatia's Ambassador to Serbia and
Montenegro, Davor Bozinovic, and the director of Marshall Fund in
Belgrade, Ivan Vejvoda, participating.
