Bosnian Federation interior ministry charged him of allegedly abusing office when he was federal finance minister four years ago.
MOSTAR, Aug 20 (Hina) - The chairman of the Bosnian Presidency,
Dragan Covic, was heard on Wednesday at the Herzegovina-Neretva
Canton prosecutor's office as part of an investigation of him after
the Mostar finance police and the Bosnian Federation interior
ministry charged him of allegedly abusing office when he was
federal finance minister four years ago. #L#
After the hearing Covic told reporters he was being politically
persecuted.
He claims there are no reasons for proceedings against him, and
dismisses accusations that he abused office for anybody's personal
gain.
