ZAGREB, Aug 3 (Hina) - Environment Minister Ivo Banac on Sunday announced construction of ten regional waste disposal and management centres in Croatia. Banac was on a visit to a waste disposal site near the southern town of Sinj,
where he said that the site was not organised and protected in accordance with the Waste Disposal Act that went into force on July 1. "Most of the waste disposal centres in Croatia, including those in Split County, are not operating according to law, which will not be tolerated any longer," the newly-appointed minister said. Banac earlier visited a location in the municipality of Lecevica, which is being tested for the construction of a regional waste disposal centre.(hina) vm
