FIRE BREAKS OUT NEAR DUBROVNIK

DUBROVNIK, July 12 (Hina) - A fire broke out near the southern Adriatic town of Dubrovnik at about 2.15am and has not yet been contained, police said on Saturday morning. #L# The fire, which broke out between the villages of Bistrina and Topolo, has consumed about 12 hectares of pine forest, but residential buildings are not threatened. Police said the cause of the fire was not yet known and an investigation was under way. The fire is being put out by firefighters from Slano, Ston and Majkovi and intervention police from Zupa Dubrovacka. (hina) vm
