The editor of the encyclopaedia, August Kovacec, said the
publication was a comprehensive encyclopaedia with an expanded
national section, which accounted for some 30% of the contents.
Commemorating the 110th anniversary of the birth of Miroslav
Krleza, the Institute awarded lexicographer Josip Sentija for his
role as editor of the Institute's best-seller, a nine-volume
comprehensive encyclopaedia.
The traditional "Mate Ujevic" award for best lexicographic and
encyclopaedic work went to theologian and biblicist Dr. Adalbert
Rebic as editor of "A Comprehensive Lexicon of Religions".
