Only the Social Democrats (SDP) took part in the discussion on the
report. Mirjana Didovic said Hina was a stimulating example of a
medium making progress in internal organisation in a short period
of time thanks to the will of both employees and the management.
Didovic recalled that the national agency was founded in 1990, when
its work was oriented exclusively towards the state's needs and "in
the following period, turned into ideologised journalism".
"Today the situation in the company is normalised and Hina meets
high journalistic criteria, reports in an unbiased manner, 90
percent of editors have university degrees, and the company is
financially stable," Didovic said.
She recalled that Hina's problem was an insufficiently developed
correspondents' network, which required more funds, especially
correspondents abroad.
