Reconstruction and Development.

Vartex will lead other textile manufacturers in Croatia with which
it will sign contracts and make a joint appearance on markets in the
entire region, Finance Minister Mato Crkvenac said during a visit
to the plant Tuesday.
The government has endorsed Vartex's projects which relate to
investments in retail, the renewal of the sale network in Serbia and
Montenegro, the reconstruction of Vartex's energy supply system
and technological development in garment, textile and Levis
manufacturing, CEO Miljenko Vidacek said.
The company employs 4,200, 13 percent of all employed in the
Croatian textile industry. The company is export-oriented and
makes its largest share of earnings in the West European market by
selling its own products.
