municipal, hazardous and non-hazardous waste, compensation for the
emission of exhaust gases, and ecological compensation.
The law will go into force on January 1, 2004.
Also today, parliament adopted reports by several Croatian Radio
and Television (HRT) bodies and bound the HRT to monitor the
representation of political parties in news programmes from July
1.
Okayed in first reading were changes to tax legislation introducing
benefits for businessmen investing in development, research, and
employee training.
MPs will vote on amendments to the Civil Procedure Law, the Penal
Code, and the Distress Law in the next few days because the changes
are being harmonised with the government and within benches.
