ZAGREB, June 13 (Hina) - The foreign ministers of countries in the Central European Initiative (CEI), a regional forum pooling 17 member countries, met on Friday in the Polish town of Wroclaw where they discussed the situation in the
region and the role of the CEI in the process of EU expansion.

The Croatian delegation was headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Ivan
Simonovic, the ministry reported. He pointed out that Croatia's
participation in the regional forums was one of the mechanisms used
by Croatia in drawing closer to the European Union.
Simonovic spoke about Croatia's application for membership in the
EU, which received support from CEI countries in a final document.
