On Friday Racan should meet his Irish counterpart Berti Aherne, the
president of the Irish parliament's lower house, Rory O'Hanlon, and
Senate president Rory Kiely.
It is expected Racan will also be received by Irish President Mary
McAleese.
On Saturday Racan will attend a working lunch with representatives
of Ireland's government, the employers' association, the chamber
of commerce, and other institutions.
Racan will be accompanied by Foreign Minister Tonino Picula and
European Integration Minister Neven Mimica. They will hold
separate meetings with Irish officials.
Ireland was among the first EU members which ratified Croatia's
Stabilisation and Association Agreement with the Union. Ireland
will chair the EU for six months from January 1, 2004, when the Union
might decide about Croatia's membership application.
