Of a total of 48 projects, the World Bank chose eight, to be financed
this year through the programme of small grants with US$30,000.
Each organisation will receive between two and five thousand
dollars to organise seminars and issue publications.
This is the fourth year in a row that the World Bank has given grants
to Croatian NGOs. This year the beneficiaries are: ZOE - the Centre
for the sustainable development of rural areas, the Roma for the
Roma of Croatia association, the Croatian Legal Centre, the centre
for the prevention, research and fight against sexual abuse -
Women's Room Zagreb, the Croatian Association of Deaf and Blind
Persons (DODIR), the "Korak" women's association from Karlovac,
the Karlovac-based association for creative development "Domaci",
and the Association for the Promotion of Inclusion.
This year the selection committee included, along with World Bank
