ZADAR, June 9 (Hina) - Accompanied by the sounds of singing, Pope John Paul II on Monday left Croatia, to which he paid a visit 5-9 June, as his 100th pastoral travel outside Italy.

The Holy Father, his entourage and reporters who followed him on his
third visit to Croatia, departed from Zadar airport for Rome aboard
a Croatia Airlines plane at 1.47 p.m.
The Pope was bid goodbye by the highest state officials, headed by
President Stjepan Mesic, as well as by Croatian bishops, headed by
the president of the Croatian Bishops' Conference, Zagreb
Artchbishop Josip Bozanic, and representatives of local
authorities.
Two Croatian Airforce MIG jets will accompany the plane carrying
the high guests until the plane leaves Croatia's air space.
During his visit to Croatia the Pope toured Rijeka, Dubrovnik,
Osijek, Djakovo and Zadar.
