DJAKOVO CATHEDRAL DJAKOVO, June 7 (Hina) - Accompanied by Djakovo-Srijem Bishop Marin Srakic, Pope John Paul II arrived at the Djakovo cathedral for a private visit Saturday afternoon. Around 15,000 faithful gathered in front of the
cathedral, waiting to meet the Holy Father.

Srakic, Pope John Paul II arrived at the Djakovo cathedral for a
private visit Saturday afternoon. Around 15,000 faithful gathered
in front of the cathedral, waiting to meet the Holy Father. #L#
The pope arrived at the cathedral from the bishops' court where he
had lunch with bishops after the Eucharist in Osijek.
The Holy Father will spend some 20 minutes in the cathedral, praying
in front of the main altar.
Gifts presented to the pope by many parishioners, academic
sculptors, painters, families and parish communities are displayed
in the green salon of the bishops' court.
