The first fifty issues of "Our Father" are numbered and the first
issue will be presented to Pope John Paul II in Rijeka on June 8.
The editor-in-chief, Srecko Lipovcan, said the book was published
as part of a project aimed at informing the public of the values of
Croatia's spiritual tradition. Exhibitions of the Glagolitic
scripts in Dublin, 2000/2001, and Croatia's written culture in
Berlin, 2002, were held as part of the project.
The 1999 project was approved by the Culture Ministry. The
linchpins of the projects are the National and University Library
and the Old Slavic Institute.
