ZAGREB: INTERNATIONAL INTERNET CONFERENCE ENDS

ZAGREB, May 22 (Hina) - A lecture by Canadian expert Tony Bates on changes at universities caused by the application of new technologies marked the end of an international Internet conference on user opportunities and network technology in Zagreb on Thursday. #L# The conference, which began May 19, was organised by the Croatian Academic and Research Network (CARNet) and the European association of academic and research networks - TERENA. The conference pooled around 500 participants, of whom 300 were from abroad. The participants were particularly interested in lectures on digital libraries which were described as the foundation of new developments in science and education. (hina) sp rml sb
